Our Commitment to Sustainability

Learn about Nature’s Way’s sustainability efforts—not just on Earth Day, but all year long.

Nature has always been a problem solver, and at Nature’s Way it’s been our greatest source of inspiration for more than 55 years. That’s why sustainability isn’t just a moment for us—it’s a commitment. From rethinking our packaging to investing in energy efficient operations, we’re continually working to reduce our environmental impact while delivering high quality products you can trust.

In this article, we’re sharing a closer look at the meaningful steps we’re taking to support a healthier planet for Earth Day and every day in between.

97% PCR plastic bottle initiative

As part of our ongoing efforts to improve our environmental impact and support both people and planet, we completed a major packaging milestone in 2026: transitioning all 235 Nature’s Way herbal supplements to bottles made with 97% postconsumer recycled (PCR) plastic. PCR plastic is created from existing recyclable plastic material that has already been used and discarded.

This large‑scale initiative reflects our commitment to environmentally responsible packaging and reducing our reliance on virgin plastic. Led by our dedicated teams and supported through careful sourcing and innovation, the transition was completed in under a year!

By using PCR materials, we:

  • Help keep plastic out of landfills
  • Reduce waste

Geothermal energy initiative at our Green Bay headquarters

At Nature’s Way, sustainability is more than a promise. It’s built into how we operate, and one of our most impactful initiatives happened right at home. As part of our commitment toward environmental responsibility, we converted our primary manufacturing facility in Green Bay, Wisconsin to sustainable geothermal power.

By tapping into this renewable energy source located 500 feet beneath our headquarters, geothermal power allows us to utilize our facility with significantly less environmental impact. This initiative supports our goal of moving closer to carbon neutrality while reducing dependence on fossil fuels.

This geothermal system is now fully operational and expected to:

  • Reduce carbon emissions by approximately 848 tons annually
  • Reduce natural gas usage by an estimated 7,100 dekatherms annually (the equivalent of powering roughly 208,000 average U.S. homes for one month)
  • Preserve natural resources by using clean, renewable energy designed to generate power for the next 100 years

Happy Earth Day from Nature’s Way!

We’re always looking for ways to care for our planet so we can celebrate Earth Day with pride. From thoughtful packaging choices to renewable energy initiatives, sustainability is at the heart of Nature’s Way and our commitment to a healthier planet.
