Frequently Asked Questions
Many of Nature’s Way multivitamin supplements are vegetarian and dairy-free,
but they aren’t vegan, because they contain beeswax and animal-derived Vitamin D3. However, we offer many other vegan supplements. For instance, Organic Apple Cider Vinegar Gummies are vegan, as are our NutraVege® Omega-3 Plant, which help with heart health and eye and brain function.* Nature’s Way offers other products for vegans that promote a healthy lifestyle, such as Garlic, Myco Defense®, Oregon Grape, and Alive!® Fruit Source Vitamin C Drink Mix.
Check the product label for details on our supplements' dietary and ingredient specifics. You can view a full selection of Nature’s Way vegan supplements here.
Nature’s Way multivitamins are a good choice because they can help fill nutrient gaps when it’s hard to meet daily nutrient requirements from food alone. For instance, our Alive!® Once Daily Men’s 50+ Ultra Potency Multivitamin, one of our best-selling multivitamin supplements, helps men over 50 meet their unique nutritional needs.* You’ll also find a women’s formula and a formula for women over 50. There are also multivitamins for kids. Nature’s Way multivitamins come in capsules, gummies, tablets, and more.
Nature’s Way is a reputable brand with over 50 years of experience that meets high quality standards for multivitamins and other products. We perform in-depth quality testing on our raw materials and finished products.

Nature’s Way Alive!® multivitamins deliver key vitamins and minerals your body needs to function at its best, supporting your general wellness.* If your busy lifestyle makes it challenging to meet daily nutrient recommendations from foods alone, adding multivitamins or supplements to help fill nutritional gaps may be a good idea.*
Your vitamin and mineral requirements can change as you age. Ask your healthcare provider if they recommend taking a multivitamin or if you have any other nutrient concerns that may benefit from a supplement.
You can take multivitamins at the time of day that works best for you. Some vitamins are water-soluble, while others are fat-soluble, meaning they are better absorbed when you take them with water or with a meal. Some should be taken with food, and others are better between meals. Please read the label for recommendations on how to best take your supplement. Then, choose a convenient time to take them each day so that you can make it a habit!
Always check the product label before taking any multivitamin or supplement.
Multivitamins do expire, but not in the way you might think. After the expiration date, they can start to lose potency, which means you won’t get the maximum benefits.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration doesn’t require manufacturers to include the expiration date on supplements, but Nature’s Way does. We want you to always know the quality and freshness of our multivitamins and supplements. Many of our multivitamin formulas have a shelf life of two years, so long as they are stored according to instructions on the label.
Many daily multivitamins can be safely taken at night, delivering their full benefits. If taking them at night is easier for your routine, please read the product label first to learn whether there are any specific instructions including if they should be taken with food.
While there are no known interactions between vitamin D3 and multivitamins, we encourage you to discuss this with a healthcare professional and get their advice.
